Russell Simmons: "Jay-Z's A Great Artist..."

Russell Simmons, who is the co-founder of Def Jam Records, has talked about his thoughts on this year’s Forbes Cash Kings list which included Jay-Z, P Diddy, Lil Wayne and Drake.

Along with his dissecting of the chart, the hip-hop mogul said that the artists had earned their place on the list due to their immense love for the music.

He told Forbes TV: "Jay-Z, he's very talented, he's a great artist and he's a good businessman and an inspiration to a lot of kids in Brooklyn and around the world. If you ain't drinking Ciroc, then you're drinking p**s. (Laughs) All right, that's Puff. Lil Wayne, yeah, I'd expect he'd make a lot of money, he’s does good work in his community and I'm not surprised by Drake or Gucci Mane.

“Only focus on your craft, because everything else is a waste. If you can't focus on your craft and be happy, then, what are you doing it for?"
